Dennis Maes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Senne Schipmans in the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, KFC Ruddervoorde's Chris-George Pardons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Maes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Senne Schipmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Maes was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Senne Schipmans in the 16th minute of play forced Mellier sport's goalkeeper Dennis Maes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Van Buyten kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Hendrik Goegebeur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Maes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chris-George Pardons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 minutes, Gill Buelens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellier sport and the KFC Ruddervoorde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Senne Schipmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dennis Maes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Niki Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges Wautiers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niki Heremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Wautiers having to interfere. If Chris-George Pardons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Mellier sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Panhuyse to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, KFC Ruddervoorde's Dennis Maes threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Senne Schipmans, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Senne Schipmans made the kick off in the second half. KFC Ruddervoorde's Chris-George Pardons got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Senne Schipmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Georges Wautiers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Heremans in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Stijn Van den Driesch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niki Heremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stijn Van den Driesch struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Georges Wautiers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellier sport. The supporters of KFC Ruddervoorde booed when Mellier sport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Van Buyten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris-George Pardons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Jimmy Van Buyten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellier sport's goalkeeper Dennis Maes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Heremans in the 95th minute of play forced KFC Ruddervoorde's goalkeeper Georges Wautiers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niki Heremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Georges Wautiers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KFC Ruddervoorde's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
