Niki Heremans started the match with the kick off. De Haan's Arend Elssen got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Arend Elssen sped through Mellier sport's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dennis Maes. Arend Elssen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Dekens kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Stijn Van den Driesch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Timothy Kempenaerts. The goal made the score 1-1. When De Haan's Arend Elssen in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mellier sport's goalie prevented a goal. Dennis Maes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arend Elssen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Geoffrey Van Der Taelen managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Haan's supporters rose to their feet, but Geoffrey Van Der Taelen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Maes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The De Haan fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when De Haan's Arend Elssen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dennis Maes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arend Elssen's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Geoffrey Van Der Taelen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Dennis Maes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Haan. Dennis Maes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arend Elssen's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arend Elssen to strike the kick off in the second half. Arend Elssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Maes having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Arend Elssen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Maes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 58 minutes into the match, Mellier sport's goalkeeper Dennis Maes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arend Elssen. Dennis Maes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arend Elssen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 60 minute of play. In the 64th minute Arend Elssen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Maes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Geoffrey Van Der Taelen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dennis Maes, 1-7. When Arend Elssen came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the De Haan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arend Elssen couldn't finish the play. Arend Elssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stijn Van den Driesch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Stijn Van den Driesch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timothy Kempenaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 100th minute Mellier sport were awarded a corner. Sebastian Panhuyse went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Sebastian Panhuyse almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Haan's Timothy Kempenaerts did a great save.
