FC Ganadores's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Geert-Jan Baele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dyllan Rutgeerts went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, Xander Uyttebroeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philippe Roose's late challenge caught a FC Ganadores's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philippe Roose helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wijlegem's Philippe Roose got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Gertjan Owerckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Owerckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, FC Ganadores's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Owerckx came free, but Gertjan Owerckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Geert-Jan Baele managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when FC Ganadores's Dyllan Rutgeerts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 42 minutes, Henk Storms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ganadores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henk Storms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Roni Omblets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dyllan Rutgeerts in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geert-Jan Baele prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
