The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Bjorn Verstuyft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th match minute, ESPIRITO SANTO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renzo Beetens to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESPIRITO SANTO's goalkeeper Brend Hemelaers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ewout Van Lint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ewout Luijten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge Huijghens in the 16th minute of play. Gregorie Loos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brend Hemelaers having to interfere. Brend Hemelaers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bjorn Verstuyft's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute 柳笑洲 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brend Hemelaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renzo Beetens charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renzo Beetens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ESPIRITO SANTO's goalkeeper Brend Hemelaers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregorie Loos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Brend Hemelaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Kreyel Sport's Bjorn Verstuyft dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Brend Hemelaers made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when 柳笑洲 sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute Renzo Beetens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ewout Luijten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renzo Beetens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Kreyel Sport's goalkeeper Ewout Luijten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serge Huijghens. The audience was convinced that Gregorie Loos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brend Hemelaers was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If 柳笑洲 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68thth minute of the game Bjorn Verstuyft who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESPIRITO SANTO's Brend Hemelaers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 柳笑洲 in the 71st minute of play forced ESPIRITO SANTO's goalkeeper Brend Hemelaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjorn Verstuyft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brend Hemelaers having to interfere. With a little luck, Kreyel Sport's Ewout Luijten got control of the ball when Serge Huijghens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brend Hemelaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 柳笑洲, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Brend Hemelaers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorie Loos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Bjorn Verstuyft had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brend Hemelaers. ESPIRITO SANTO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bjorn Verstuyft was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Kreyel Sport players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
