Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bjorn Verstuyft got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Kreyel Sport booed when Meersel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Rogiers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Gregorie Loos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dominic Ackermans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the game, Kreyel Sport's Bjorn Verstuyft nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dominic Ackermans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Verstuyft in the 16th minute of play forced Meersel's goalkeeper Dominic Ackermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guust Van dooren got free with Ewout Luijten in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 20th play minutes Bjorn Verstuyft shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Dominic Ackermans and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 22nd minute Gregorie Loos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Ackermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ewout Luijten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens de Neutere in the 26th minute. Kreyel Sport's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Davy Blanchaert scored to the left of an out of position Ewout Luijten, making the score, 1-3. Dominic Ackermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjorn Verstuyft in the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bjorn Verstuyft in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominic Ackermans saved Meersel from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Kreyel Sport's goal looked a bit too open when Davy Blanchaert came free, but Ewout Luijten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ewout Luijten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gert Rogiers went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Ewout Luijten made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jens de Neutere sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Bjorn Verstuyft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Meersel's Dominic Ackermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Meersel from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the match, Kreyel Sport's goal looked a bit too open when Guust Van dooren came free, but Ewout Luijten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Davy Blanchaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ewout Luijten. Kreyel Sport's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davy Blanchaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Jens de Neutere charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens de Neutere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Meersel's Jens de Neutere got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gregorie Loos made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 70thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dominic Ackermans would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 71st minute, Frank Cappelsmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the game's 72nd minute Meersel's Stanny Van Bostraeten took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Ewout Luijten and thus the score was 4-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gert Rogiers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meersel's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Rogiers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ewout Luijten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Guust Van dooren made a precise shot to the right of Ewout Luijten. Kreyel Sport's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. In the 84th minute, Davy Blanchaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kreyel Sport's Ewout Luijten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Blanchaert in the 87th minute of play. Ewout Luijten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Van Hamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute Jens de Neutere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ewout Luijten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Guust Van dooren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ewout Luijten was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-3. Meersel's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
