Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) If Sammy Van de Gaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Sammy Van de Gaer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lennart Vermeesch. The goal made the score 1-0. Sammy Van de Gaer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Knutsegem's Lennart Vermeesch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Knutsegem from getting a goal against them. Remie Van Linthout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jerome Baele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hemiksem's Jerome Baele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remie Van Linthout in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Hemiksem getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Wim Van de Velde hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Knutsegem's goalkeeper Lennart Vermeesch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon De Maijer. In the 31st minute, Wes Van Hole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sammy Van de Gaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lennart Vermeesch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Knutsegem got a freekick which was hit by Axel De Moor. With his leg Lennart Vermeesch managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Hemiksem's Ramon De Maijer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46thth minute of the game Sammy Van de Gaer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knutsegem's Lennart Vermeesch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Van de Gaer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lennart Vermeesch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Van de Gaer's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Lennart Vermeesch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Van de Gaer in the 58th minute of the match. Knutsegem's Lennart Vermeesch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Van de Gaer in the 65th minute of play. When Axel De Moor fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knutsegem's protests and gave Axel De Moor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Knutsegem's Axel De Moor got a free kick in the 87th minute. Lennart Vermeesch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon De Maijer in the 89th minute of play. Sammy Van de Gaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lennart Vermeesch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon De Maijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Vermeesch having to interfere. Sammy Van de Gaer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hemiksem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Knutsegem for a fine match.
