A collision led to Fighters Against Cancer getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Christofere Vandommele hit a great ball. Max De Keijsere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Max De Keijsere got free with Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the game, one of VC Froidfontaine:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Fighters Against Cancer a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stanny Tkint, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VC Froidfontaine's Fernand Gooris. 1-1. Willem Verheijden might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernand Gooris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willem Verheijden ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willem Verheijden was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of VC Froidfontaine:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fighters Against Cancer:s goal. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Fighters Against Cancer. Stanny Tkint stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernand Gooris. 1-2. Willem Verheijden received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernand Gooris came out and tried to block the shot, but Willem Verheijden slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 59th minute. With an all-out effort, Fighters Against Cancer's Fernand Gooris threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Willem Verheijden, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bertrand Leemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Max De Keijsere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max De Keijsere in the 80th minute of play forced Fighters Against Cancer's goalkeeper Kristiaan van Goetsenhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertrand Leemans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Fernand Gooris made a huge save. If Willem Verheijden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max De Keijsere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fighters Against Cancer had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
