Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Martin Van Laeck made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Ruislede's Albert Huijbrechts got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 10 minutes, Mateo Buyck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maaseik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Buyck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Brabant kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, Ruislede's Rens van Kelfs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomm Gallot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ruislede reached it. In the 15th minute Steven Slaghmeulders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomm Gallot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomm Gallot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Slaghmeulders in the 17th minute of play. Ruislede's Kevin Engelboorgs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Van Laeck in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Steven Slaghmeulders's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomm Gallot was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Tomm Gallot came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ruislede's Isaac Denturck. But to his dismay, Isaac Denturck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Leon Brabant was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Maaseik:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ruislede:s goal. Kevin Engelboorgs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Van Laeck in the 38th minute of play. If Dean Steckens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Van Laeck struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kevin Engelboorgs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maaseik. After 41 played minutes Ruislede got a freekick which was hit by Sem Montens. Dirk Lambrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roy Widdepenninck struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Kevin Engelboorgs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maaseik. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Martin Van Laeck came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Maaseik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Van Laeck couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Dean Steckens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevin Engelboorgs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Widdepenninck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Martin Van Laeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Engelboorgs was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Roy Widdepenninck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roy Widdepenninck really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 63 minutes into the match, Martin Van Laeck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kevin Engelboorgs, 2-2. In the 66th minute, Steven Slaghmeulders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Van Laeck in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kevin Engelboorgs, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 69 minutes into the match, Martin Van Laeck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Engelboorgs. Ruislede's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Van Laeck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dean Steckens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maaseik's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Steckens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Engelboorgs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roy Widdepenninck struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Kevin Engelboorgs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maaseik. Martin Van Laeck struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. From close distance Roy Widdepenninck pressed in the 2-5 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 83 minutes into the game. Martin Van Laeck in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kevin Engelboorgs, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Dean Steckens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Van Laeck in the 91st minute of play forced Ruislede's goalkeeper Kevin Engelboorgs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ruislede's Isaac Denturck in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maaseik's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute Martin Van Laeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Engelboorgs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maaseik's Roy Widdepenninck got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Maaseik left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ruislede.
