Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geert-Jan Lievens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Geert-Jan Lievens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geert-Jan Lievens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Sam De Hoef mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itegem and the SK Warisoulx players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sam De Hoef hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Geert-Jan Lievens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natan Roelandts, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Hendrik Van Cauwenbergh kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Geert-Jan Lievens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Roelandts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Alfons Devriendt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geert-Jan Lievens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Roelandts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Laureys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Devriendt in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Natan Roelandts recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geert-Jan Lievens. Natan Roelandts showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alain Volle to make the kick off. Koen Cesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Laureys having to interfere. Alain Volle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Laureys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Luuk Vloebergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 75th minute of the match Hendrik Van Cauwenbergh completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hendrik Van Cauwenbergh a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hendrik Van Cauwenbergh kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, SK Warisoulx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Devriendt to maneuver through the defense. Alain Volle's late challenge caught a Itegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alain Volle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Alain Volle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Itegem's Luuk Vloebergh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SK Warisoulx. When Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Itegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Itegem booed when SK Warisoulx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfons Devriendt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Natan Roelandts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Warisoulx's Geert-Jan Lievens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Itegem's Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geert-Jan Lievens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. SK Warisoulx's Geert-Jan Lievens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natan Roelandts in the 96th minute of play. Itegem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SK Warisoulx for a fine match.
