Walter Demeester started the match with the kick off. The supporters of RSC Uilenberg booed when Ringorians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Vermeesch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claude Van Schoorisse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Xander-Paul Decaluwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Van Schoorisse in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xander-Paul Decaluwe saved Ringorians from getting behind. After 7 played minutes RSC Uilenberg got a freekick which was hit by Walter Demeester. A collision led to Ringorians getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bass Van Nel hit a great ball. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Xander-Paul Decaluwe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Van Schoorisse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, RSC Uilenberg's Joos Melkval got control of the ball when Rein Neesens tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Louis-Philippe Debecker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Uilenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ringorians the free kick. After 42 played minutes Ringorians got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Verelst. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dean De Hont made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Walter Demeester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xander-Paul Decaluwe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joos Melkval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Neesens in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Walter Demeester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Uilenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Demeester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claude Van Schoorisse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xander-Paul Decaluwe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Rein Neesens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joos Melkval having to interfere.
