Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Walter Demeester got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joos Melkval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Natan Roelandts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joos Melkval was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natan Roelandts in the 7th minute of play forced RSC Uilenberg's goalkeeper Joos Melkval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Didier Van Cleijnenbreughel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itegem and the RSC Uilenberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Didier Van Cleijnenbreughel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Claude Van Schoorisse fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSC Uilenberg's protests and gave Claude Van Schoorisse a yellow card for diving instead. Joos Melkval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natan Roelandts, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joos Melkval having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thijs De Reijck during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thijs De Reijck hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joos Melkval having to interfere. Natan Roelandts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joos Melkval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind RSC Uilenberg's goalkeeper Joos Melkval, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natan Roelandts scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joos Melkval, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45thth minute of the game Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Uilenberg's Joos Melkval was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Itegem's Dante Laureys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Demeester in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natan Roelandts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Itegem's Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natan Roelandts in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joos Melkval prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Demeester in the 57th minute of play forced Itegem's goalkeeper Dante Laureys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natan Roelandts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joos Melkval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tran Vissenaeckens hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Claude Van Schoorisse struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Dante Laureys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Uilenberg. Natan Roelandts might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joos Melkval. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natan Roelandts ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joos Melkval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Natan Roelandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joos Melkval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joos Melkval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natan Roelandts in the 85th minute of the match. Claude Van Schoorisse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Laureys having to interfere. Mathias-Alexander Van Hooveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Joos Melkval skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for RSC Uilenberg! Itegem's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
