Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeremy Blommaert kicked off to start the match. Edgard Vereeken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Senne Paaps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Klaas Van hoegaerde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sassenhout's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Helson the free kick. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sassenhout! In the 10th minute there was a penalty for FC Helson. Christoph Davus stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evert-Jan Algoedt. 0-1. Evert-Jan Algoedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axell Voets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Sassenhout got a freekick which was hit by Andris Ablij. When Jeremy Blommaert came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the FC Helson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Blommaert couldn't finish the play. Andris Ablij kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Edgard Vereeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Senne Paaps in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Senne Paaps in the 44th minute of play forced FC Helson's goalkeeper Edgard Vereeken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Senne Paaps to make the kick off. Edgard Vereeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Raemakers in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Biesen during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sassenhout's Senne Paaps got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sassenhout's Senne Paaps in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Helson's goalie prevented a goal. Axell Voets charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axell Voets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Sassenhout's Richmond Schrijns tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kevin Vanden Bossche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evert-Jan Algoedt. Sassenhout's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 87th play minutes Werner Coopmans shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Evert-Jan Algoedt and just under the crossbar into goal. Edgard Vereeken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Senne Paaps's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Leon Biesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Helson players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
