Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wim Van den Berch made a huge save. Loui de Reyck came out of the goal and Willem-Alexander Engelborgh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Loui de Reyck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Godet in the 41st minute of play. If Fernand Van der Perren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Fernand Van der Perren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wim Van den Berch. Fernand Van der Perren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ward Godet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loui de Reyck having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand Van der Perren in the 62nd minute of play forced Sassport Boezinge's goalkeeper Wim Van den Berch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Panne's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sassport Boezinge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Panne the free kick. After 90 played minutes Sassport Boezinge got a freekick which was hit by Jammy Van Beets. Wim Van den Berch came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by De Panne's Fernand Van der Perren. But to his dismay, Fernand Van der Perren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. De Panne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
