With a little luck, Willemeau's Bertan Helsens got control of the ball when Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 minutes, Jeffrey Valckeneers made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. De Panne's Loui de Reyck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Loui de Reyck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guust Van der Vorst's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, De Panne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Van de cauter to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Valckeneers in the 25th minute of play forced De Panne's goalkeeper Loui de Reyck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 played minutes De Panne got a freekick which was hit by Jullian Cornelis. Pieter-Jan Kint was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Stein Schouters hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The long shot by Pieter-Jan Kint in the 36th minute really tested Bertan Helsens's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeffrey Valckeneers in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loui de Reyck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertan Helsens made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck sent off a good shot on target.

If Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remie Van Deuren's late challenge caught a Willemeau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remie Van Deuren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, De Panne's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guust Van der Vorst fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to De Panne getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sander Van Brusselen hit a great ball. Willemeau's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 67th minute of the game, when Alek Salms after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of De Panne's goal. Alek Salms was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Jeffrey Valckeneers hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Peter-Jan Van Hautvinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Jeffrey Valckeneers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in De Panne's zone, Guust Van der Vorst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loui de Reyck came out of the goal and Guust Van der Vorst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jeffrey Valckeneers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loui de Reyck was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Jeffrey Valckeneers was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Willemeau's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fernand Van der Perren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bertan Helsens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willemeau's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
