Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Senne Paaps to make the kick off. Wim Van den Berch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Cockaerts's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 64 minutes of play, Sassenhout's Stefan Raemakers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wim Van den Berch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wim Van den Berch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Senne Paaps, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Sassenhout booed when Sassport Boezinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hendrik Maerschalks didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Senne Paaps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Senne Paaps managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sassenhout's supporters rose to their feet, but Senne Paaps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wim Van den Berch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yanis Kerselaers charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yanis Kerselaers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Sassport Boezinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yanis Kerselaers to maneuver through the defense. Richmond Schrijns, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 93 played minutes Sassenhout got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Cockaerts. Senne Paaps struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Wim Van den Berch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sassenhout. When the match was over Sassenhout could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sassport Boezinge throughout the match.
