Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mehmet Ferit İltemur took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, KFC Gijzegem's Manu Van Craesbeeck got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Rens Van Deyck made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Herinckx. KFC Gijzegem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lennart Herinckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rens Van Deyck in the 11th minute of the match. Lennart Herinckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Vansteenbrugge in the 14th minute of play. Yelle Correyns kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Wouter Enfant made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KFC Gijzegem's Yelle Correyns. Yelle Correyns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mehmet Ferit İltemur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennart Herinckx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joris Vansteenbrugge went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute of the match William Eggermont sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lennart Herinckx skillfully saved the ball. With 45 minutes on the clock, Manu Van Craesbeeck commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 45th minute, one of KFC Gijzegem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Gijzegem. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rens Van Deyck made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Mehmet Ferit İltemur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Izak Viskens charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Izak Viskens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Haneffe getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Izak Viskens hit a great ball. Florian Temmerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lennart Herinckx made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Haneffe's zone, Mehmet Ferit İltemur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Suetens came out of the goal and Mehmet Ferit İltemur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryan Van Steen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Izak Kerselaers struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lennart Herinckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haneffe. 69 minutes into the match, Rens Van Deyck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lennart Herinckx. KFC Gijzegem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rens Van Deyck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Carlos Suetens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Ferit İltemur in the 74th minute of play. Arnaud De Werdt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lennart Herinckx. KFC Gijzegem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Haneffe booed when KFC Gijzegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Van Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izak Kerselaers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mehmet Ferit İltemur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haneffe played a much better game than KFC Gijzegem and deserved their victory. The KFC Gijzegem players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
