When Filip Velkeneers came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Kessel-Lo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Velkeneers couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Jeremie Tombeur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kessel-Lo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremie Tombeur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Ruben Van Der Heijden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alphonse Van der Perren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emile Van der Weijden in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billie Jongbloedt saved Fc idegem from getting behind. Mathis Van Deinze hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play, Kessel-Lo's Jeremie Tombeur made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billie Jongbloedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emile Van der Weijden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolaas Van Den Broek during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Emile Van der Weijden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricky Vuerinckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billie Jongbloedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricky Vuerinckx ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Ricky Vuerinckx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billie Jongbloedt was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
