An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregoire Van de Poel in the 13th minute of play forced SC Impegem's goalkeeper Bernd De Mees to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernd De Mees showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregoire Van de Poel in the 15th minute of the match. Gregoire Van de Poel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd De Mees having to interfere. Gregoire Van de Poel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bernd De Mees tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregoire Van de Poel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Gregoire Van de Poel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. KFC Breemeers's Christoff Van Eede got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KFC Breemeers's Gregoire Van de Poel got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoff Van Eede in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernd De Mees prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stanny Kerkhofs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Raedemaeckers having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregoire Van de Poel made a kick off. With a little luck, SC Impegem's Bernd De Mees got control of the ball when Christoff Van Eede tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Impegem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, KFC Breemeers's Steffen Geijselinckx got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bernd De Mees. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoff Van Eede got free with Bernd De Mees in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregoire Van de Poel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Impegem getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Francois Coeckelberghs hit a great ball. Steffen Geijselinckx, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tommie Raedemaeckers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Meertens in the 85th minute of play. Kent Meertens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Raedemaeckers having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Aaron Van Maestricht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Tommie Raedemaeckers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregoire Van de Poel in the 97th minute of play forced SC Impegem's goalkeeper Bernd De Mees to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SC Impegem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Breemeers's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Breemeers.
