After a rather tough play, Deerlijk's Guillaume Vrijdag got a free kick in the 4th minute. Sebastian De Bougne charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian De Bougne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Deerlijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian De Bougne to maneuver through the defense. Deerlijk's Maurus Leempoels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Huyterhoeven in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Jacob Huyterhoeven made a precise shot to the right of Maurus Leempoels. Deerlijk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Fc idegem's Ruben Van Der Heijden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurus Leempoels narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Refael Colebrants's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billie Jongbloedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Ruben Van Der Heijden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurus Leempoels having to make a save. Maurus Leempoels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Van Der Heijden, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Fc idegem's Ruben Van Der Heijden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurus Leempoels narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes in the game, Arend Van Geestel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Billie Jongbloedt having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Refael Colebrants got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Fc idegem were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Van Der Heijden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Arend Van Geestel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deerlijk's supporters rose to their feet, but Arend Van Geestel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billie Jongbloedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 57 minutes, Refael Colebrants managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deerlijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Refael Colebrants was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathis Van Deinze hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Refael Colebrants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alek Ruttens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Jongbloedt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arend Van Geestel in the 70th minute of play forced Fc idegem's goalkeeper Billie Jongbloedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Fc idegem's goal looked a bit too open when Refael Colebrants came free, but Billie Jongbloedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th play minute Jacob Huyterhoeven came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maurus Leempoels. 0-2. 78 minutes into the game, Max Van den Berch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deerlijk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc idegem the free kick. A collision led to Deerlijk getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Max Van den Berch hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Deerlijk's Alek Ruttens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Billie Jongbloedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Billie Jongbloedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arend Van Geestel, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Deerlijk supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fc idegem's performance. The match ended with a win for Fc idegem.
