Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of AFC Kerselaar booed when KFC Breemeers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny De Bougne didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Roben Lambrechts came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the AFC Kerselaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roben Lambrechts couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Breemeers's zone, Yelle Van Gestelt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommie Raedemaeckers came out of the goal and Yelle Van Gestelt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roben Lambrechts struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Tommie Raedemaeckers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Kerselaar. Angelo Duchateau hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of AFC Kerselaar booed when KFC Breemeers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny De Bougne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregoire Van de Poel to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gregoire Van de Poel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaud Van Linthaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roben Lambrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommie Raedemaeckers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yelle Van Gestelt in the 56th minute of play. Yelle Van Gestelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Tommie Raedemaeckers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, AFC Kerselaar's Roben Lambrechts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommie Raedemaeckers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Roben Lambrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Kerselaar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roben Lambrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Roben Lambrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommie Raedemaeckers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yelle Van Gestelt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFC Kerselaar's Constantijn Heremans got a free kick in the 78th minute. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Gregoire Van de Poel sped through AFC Kerselaar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reinaud Van Linthaut. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Roben Lambrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Kerselaar's supporters rose to their feet, but Roben Lambrechts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommie Raedemaeckers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantijn Heremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tommie Raedemaeckers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roben Lambrechts's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Tommie Raedemaeckers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Roben Lambrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Yelle Van Gestelt managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Kerselaar's supporters rose to their feet, but Yelle Van Gestelt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommie Raedemaeckers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AFC Kerselaar played a much better game than KFC Breemeers and deserved their victory. The KFC Breemeers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
