The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommie Raedemaeckers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Huyterhoeven in the 3rd minute of play. Tommie Raedemaeckers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Huyterhoeven, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Fc idegem were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after KFC Breemeers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Werner Olbrechts took the corner. In the 8th minute, Wart Van Gestel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billie Jongbloedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christoff Van Eede in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregoire Van de Poel in the 17th minute of play forced Fc idegem's goalkeeper Billie Jongbloedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Ruben Van Der Heijden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacob Huyterhoeven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommie Raedemaeckers having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Van Der Heijden in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommie Raedemaeckers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommie Raedemaeckers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Van Der Heijden in the 25th minute of play. If Jacob Huyterhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacob Huyterhoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Ruben Van Der Heijden made a precise shot to the right of Tommie Raedemaeckers. KFC Breemeers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Duchateau during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to KFC Breemeers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Angelo Duchateau hit a great ball. Jacob Huyterhoeven who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Tommie Raedemaeckers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th match minute, Fc idegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Van Der Heijden to maneuver through the defense. Christoff Van Eede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christoff Van Eede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Jongbloedt having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Christoff Van Eede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Billie Jongbloedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. KFC Breemeers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ruben Van Der Heijden 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Fc idegem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KFC Breemeers:s goal. A collision led to Fc idegem getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Mathis Van Deinze hit a great ball. With a little luck, KFC Breemeers's Tommie Raedemaeckers got control of the ball when Jacob Huyterhoeven tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Christoff Van Eede came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the KFC Breemeers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoff Van Eede couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Fc idegem's goal looked a bit too open when Gregoire Van de Poel came free, but Billie Jongbloedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billie Jongbloedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregoire Van de Poel, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Jacob Huyterhoeven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tommie Raedemaeckers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Ruben Van Der Heijden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Raedemaeckers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc idegem's Billie Jongbloedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregoire Van de Poel in the 97th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Christoff Van Eede notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Fc idegem's Billie Jongbloedt. Billie Jongbloedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
