Siebe Wilmots showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibau Ombelets, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Sean Grootjans kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Patrik Anteunis lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Club Ulbeek's Roben Van Havent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Grootjans in the 19th minute of play. If Seppe Ingelborchs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Alfons Terwenhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roben Van Havent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes FC Wondelgem got a freekick which was hit by Sean Grootjans. 33 minutes into the game, Jerry Van Huele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Siebe Wilmots was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Alfons Terwenhout had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roben Van Havent. Club Ulbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfons Terwenhout was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 40th minute, Alfons Terwenhout left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wondelgem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 47th minute, Seppe Ingelborchs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When Sean Grootjans came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FC Wondelgem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Grootjans couldn't finish the play. After 54 minutes of play, Club Ulbeek's Jerry Van Huele made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siebe Wilmots was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimitri Kints might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roben Van Havent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dimitri Kints ran back to his position shaking his head. Roben Van Havent made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimitri Kints in the 57th minute. Sean Grootjans struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Roben Van Havent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wondelgem. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dimitri Kints in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roben Van Havent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Ulbeek's goalkeeper Roben Van Havent, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dimitri Kints sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dimitri Kints came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Wondelgem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitri Kints couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, FC Wondelgem's Roben Van Havent threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dimitri Kints, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dimitri Kints received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Roben Van Havent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Tommas Caspers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wondelgem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommas Caspers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sean Grootjans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 95 minutes, Miguel Van Linthaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Wondelgem and the Club Ulbeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Miguel Van Linthaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded FC Wondelgem left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Ulbeek.
