An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik-Jan Vereyt in the 37th minute of play forced Moorsele's goalkeeper Erik-Jan Van Meel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SK Heikruis's Gust Neefs got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik-Jan Van Meel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hendrik-Jan Vereyt, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The referee ignored Moorsele's protests and gave Maxim-Alexander Declercq a yellow card for diving instead. Moorsele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Heikruis the free kick. Pierre-Paul De nuijter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans de Pelsmaeker, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pierre-Paul De nuijter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roel Provoost in the 79th minute of play. When Hans de Pelsmaeker came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Moorsele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans de Pelsmaeker couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute Chris-George Swinnen suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Michael Poelmans charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Poelmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joerie Bauweleers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Paul De nuijter having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Hendrik-Jan Vereyt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erik-Jan Van Meel, passed just outside the right post. Walter Wortelaert might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik-Jan Van Meel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walter Wortelaert ran back to his position shaking his head. After 94 played minutes Moorsele got a freekick which was hit by Maxim-Alexander Declercq. In the 96th minute of the match, Hendrik-Jan Vereyt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erik-Jan Van Meel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
