Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) FC Wondelgem's Dimitri Kints started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gunther Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Grootjans in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Ewout Baboeuf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunther Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitri Kints's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Sean Grootjans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunther Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Baraque's Giles Ceustermans got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to FC Wondelgem getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tommas Caspers hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfons Terwenhout in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunther Claes saved FC Baraque from getting behind. Gunther Claes came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Wondelgem's Sean Grootjans. But to his dismay, Sean Grootjans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Dimitri Kints had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitri Kints received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gunther Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Francken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Steenbecks hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, FC Wondelgem's Jorge Tilens seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorge Tilens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Wondelgem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorge Tilens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, FC Baraque's Thierry Verduin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Siebe Wilmots. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sean Grootjans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Claes having to interfere. Gunther Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitri Kints's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Dimitri Kints recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gunther Claes. Dimitri Kints showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Dimitri Kints had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Francken in the 78th minute of play forced FC Baraque's goalkeeper Gunther Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ewout Baboeuf charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ewout Baboeuf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sean Grootjans kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Dimitri Kints sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Baraque fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Wondelgem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
