Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hans de Pelsmaeker got the match started through his kick off. Stein De Clercq made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 4thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Erik-Jan Van Meel would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 8 minutes into the game, Hans de Pelsmaeker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romain De Mees was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joerie Bauweleers in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romain De Mees saved Stockroye from getting behind. Romain De Mees showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joerie Bauweleers in the 22nd minute of the match. Balthazar Montens's late challenge caught a Moorsele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balthazar Montens helped the player get up and apologised. Balthazar Montens kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Stockroye's goal looked a bit too open when Hans de Pelsmaeker came free, but Romain De Mees reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Thierry De Ruyter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stein De Clercq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik-Jan Van Meel having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Moorsele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roel Provoost to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Thierry De Ruyter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik-Jan Van Meel. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Moorsele's Erik-Jan Van Meel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry De Ruyter in the 53rd minute of play. Stein De Clercq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute Balthazar Montens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik-Jan Van Meel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Thierry De Ruyter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Erik-Jan Van Meel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th match minute, Moorsele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim-Alexander Declercq to maneuver through the defense. Stein De Clercq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Erik-Jan Van Meel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Thierry De Ruyter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stockroye's supporters rose to their feet, but Thierry De Ruyter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik-Jan Van Meel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hans de Pelsmaeker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Hans de Pelsmaeker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stockroye's Romain De Mees was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Stein De Clercq managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockroye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stein De Clercq was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans de Pelsmaeker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joerie Bauweleers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moorsele's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
