After a defensive mix-up in Club Zeldonkhoek's zone, Fredrik Verheijd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Van Eijken came out of the goal and Fredrik Verheijd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Zeldonkhoek's Noel Van Eijken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilian Rijniers in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Guilian Rijniers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Van Eijken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Van Eijken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Verheijd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match Matijs Sterckx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Noel Van Eijken showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Engelberchs during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Zeldonkhoek's goalkeeper Noel Van Eijken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurenz Gijselinx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Wesley Gooris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christoff Debrouwere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wesley Gooris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Fredrik Verheijd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Fredrik Verheijd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Guilian Rijniers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Erpent eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
