KAA Wauveringen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Van Aghten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philippe-Arnaud Van Huruck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Aaron Bruyninckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregoire Koenens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Van Aghten made a kick off. The supporters of KAA Wauveringen booed when K.V. KAA Wauveringen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matty Bernardts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gregoire Koenens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippe-Arnaud Van Huruck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Van Aghten in the 73rd minute of play. Gregoire Koenens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. After taking down the ball on KAA Wauveringen's corner Fabrice Van Hoof fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Philippe-Arnaud Van Huruck quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as KAA Wauveringen's Gabriel Van Aghten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Philippe-Arnaud Van Huruck. That made the score 0-8 after 89 minutes of play. KAA Wauveringen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
