Spectators: 6743 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manu Laurent started the match with the kick off. If Andrew Tijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Gabriel Van Aghten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylven Schuts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Stuiven's goalkeeper Sylven Schuts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregoire Koenens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylven Schuts having to interfere. When Gabriel Van Aghten fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Wauveringen's protests and gave Gabriel Van Aghten a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Stuiven booed when KAA Wauveringen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Van Aghten didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Gregoire Koenens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylven Schuts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Xander-Paul Schamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Van Aghten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylven Schuts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Sylven Schuts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Van Aghten in the 32nd minute of play. Sylven Schuts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregoire Koenens's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Gregoire Koenens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Willem-Jan Cappelsmans struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jonathan Mathy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Stuiven. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gabriel Van Aghten made the kick off in the second half. Sylven Schuts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Van Aghten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylven Schuts acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nico Buyck. In the 66th match minute, FC Stuiven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xander-Paul Manaers to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Gregoire Koenens managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Wauveringen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregoire Koenens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylven Schuts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sylven Schuts didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Gabriel Van Aghten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregoire Koenens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Stuiven's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Gabriel Van Aghten scored to the left of an out of position Sylven Schuts, making the score, 0-2. 92 minutes into the match, FC Stuiven's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Van Aghten came free, but Sylven Schuts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregoire Koenens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylven Schuts having to interfere. After 96 played minutes KAA Wauveringen got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Tijs. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KAA Wauveringen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
