Geert-Jan Vanden Berghe charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geert-Jan Vanden Berghe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Battleader got a freekick which was hit by Geert-Jan Vanden Berghe. 25 minutes into the match, Battleader's Gerard Vorster sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robbrecht Coosemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC Gundekose getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Abraham Knockaert hit a great ball. Augustijn Panhuyse was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gerard Vorster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gundekose's Robbrecht Coosemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Battleader's Gerard Vorster got a free kick in the 34th minute. Vic Van Mellart hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Robbrecht Coosemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Vorster in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Gerard Vorster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraham Knockaert kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half FC Gundekose were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerard Vorster made a kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Edwin Schoolmeesters dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Geert-Jan Vanden Berghe hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Vic Van Mellart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jeremy Coveliers came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC Gundekose fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Coveliers couldn't finish the play. Robbrecht Coosemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Schoolmeesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jeremy Coveliers took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stein Uijtterhoeven. Stein Uijtterhoeven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Battleader's zone, Vic Van Mellart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stein Uijtterhoeven came out of the goal and Vic Van Mellart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Levi Vanden Bossche kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Battleader getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Dany Abrams hit a great ball. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Battleader! Emiel De Worteleer walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
