Simon Lieckens hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Franck Cappels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franck Cappels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staf Van Hoght having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, KFC Maagdeveld's goal looked a bit too open when Ward Maertens came free, but Staf Van Hoght reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franck Cappels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Staf Van Hoght tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitri Tael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christiaan Roelandts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Walters having to interfere. Herbert Walters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiaan Roelandts in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes KFC Maagdeveld got a freekick which was hit by Vicente De Witte. 32 minutes into the match, Milano Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Christiaan Roelandts came free, but Herbert Walters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Christiaan Roelandts came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the KFC Maagdeveld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiaan Roelandts couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Milano Football Club's zone, Charlie de Pelsmacker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Walters came out of the goal and Charlie de Pelsmacker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, KFC Maagdeveld's Christiaan Roelandts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Walters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulus Carpenter hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiaan Roelandts in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herbert Walters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franck Cappels made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jannic Matthijs made a precise shot to the right of Staf Van Hoght. KFC Maagdeveld's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ward Maertens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Staf Van Hoght was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Herbert Walters stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiaan Roelandts's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Dimitri Tael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of KFC Maagdeveld booed when Milano Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulus Carpenter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Capelle hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Staf Van Hoght showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jannic Matthijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Staf Van Hoght made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Cappels in the 90th minute of play. If Christiaan Roelandts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Ward Maertens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Staf Van Hoght was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Milano Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
