The audience was convinced that Jeremy Coveliers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Walters was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Ward Maertens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbrecht Coosemans having to interfere. The FC Gundekose players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Milano Football Club were winning 0-1.

Herbert Walters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremy Coveliers went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the game, Paulus Carpenter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milano Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gundekose the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Paulus Carpenter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play Milano Football Club's Paulus Carpenter was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Milano Football Club getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Paulus Carpenter hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Milano Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Coveliers came free, but Herbert Walters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vic Van Mellart might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Walters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vic Van Mellart ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the game, FC Gundekose's Jeremy Coveliers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herbert Walters made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ward Maertens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Herbert Walters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Geordy Ruelens hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Emiel De Worteleer struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Herbert Walters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gundekose.
