In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hooligans's goalkeeper Louis De Scheper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vincent Van den Ende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Van Lint having to interfere. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Hooligans's Brend Cremers fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Louis Libreghts hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Vincent Van den Ende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hooligans's goalkeeper Louis De Scheper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robbe Demeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis De Scheper having to interfere. Louis De Scheper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolf Tilemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute of the game, Brend Cremers landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 40 minutes into the game, Karel-Jan Verhagen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Westrozebeke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hooligans the free kick. In the 41st match minute, SK Westrozebeke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel-Jan Verhagen to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vincent Van den Ende made the kick off in the second half. Louis De Scheper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbe Demeyer in the 52nd minute. Robbe Demeyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Louis Libreghts's late challenge caught a SK Westrozebeke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louis Libreghts helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Louis Libreghts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Louis De Scheper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Tilemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vincent Van den Ende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Van Lint having to interfere. Louis De Scheper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbe Demeyer in the 65th minute. Frederick Van Lint showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Van den Ende in the 66th minute of the match. SK Westrozebeke's Robbe Demeyer got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Edmond Wynaerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hooligans's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Westrozebeke the free kick. Dolf Tilemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis De Scheper having to interfere. With his leg Louis De Scheper managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when SK Westrozebeke's Jannick Van Der Linden fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SK Westrozebeke eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
