The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris-George Martin got free with Maxim Mestdagh in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chris-George Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris-George Martin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Maxim Mestdagh made a huge save. With a little luck, AFC Richmond's Maxim Mestdagh got control of the ball when Chris-George Martin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, KAA Beringen's goal looked a bit too open when Artuur Breugelmans came free, but Jeremie Van Kestbeek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olliver Poelmans kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A hard shot 35 in the game by Chris-George Martin from a close distance when the talented Maxim Mestdagh managed to make a qualified save. AFC Richmond's players were relieved. If Christoph Verstuyft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artuur Breugelmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Laurend Van Hove hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Christoph Verstuyft struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jeremie Van Kestbeek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Richmond. When Rene Heremans fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Richmond's protests and gave Rene Heremans a yellow card for diving instead. Rene Heremans hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoph Verstuyft in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremie Van Kestbeek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Beringen's zone, Artuur Breugelmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremie Van Kestbeek came out of the goal and Artuur Breugelmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Artuur Breugelmans came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the AFC Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artuur Breugelmans couldn't finish the play. Christoph Verstuyft was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. AFC Richmond's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 92nd minute, Christoph Verstuyft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christoph Verstuyft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
