Karel Klopterop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurend Van Hove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The VC DE Leeuwkens fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when VC DE Leeuwkens's Christoffel Van Eijcke looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Karel Klopterop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurend Van Hove in the 14th minute of play. Laurend Van Hove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Karel Klopterop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf De Ketelaere charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustaaf De Ketelaere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurend Van Hove in the 20th minute of play forced VC DE Leeuwkens's goalkeeper Karel Klopterop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris-George Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Klopterop having to interfere. Laurend Van Hove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Karel Klopterop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremie Van Kestbeek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffel Van Eijcke, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rd minute Andy Verbeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Van Kestbeek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andy Verbeke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremie Van Kestbeek having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurend Van Hove to make the kick off. Andy Verbeke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jeremie Van Kestbeek made a huge save. After having played for 54 minutes, Christoffel Van Eijcke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jeremie Van Kestbeek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 63 minutes, Christoffel Van Eijcke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC DE Leeuwkens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoffel Van Eijcke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VC DE Leeuwkens's Andy Verbeke got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Rutten kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Andy Verbeke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Christoffel Van Eijcke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Van Kestbeek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Laurend Van Hove got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Chris-George Martin made a precise shot to the right of Karel Klopterop. VC DE Leeuwkens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to KAA Beringen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alex De Schutter hit a great ball. Jeremie Van Kestbeek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christoffel Van Eijcke went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Christoffel Van Eijcke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremie Van Kestbeek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Christoffel Van Eijcke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jeremie Van Kestbeek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christoffel Van Eijcke scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremie Van Kestbeek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VC DE Leeuwkens eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
