In the 8th minute of the match Ewout Dobbeleir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olivier Hoeybroeck skillfully saved the ball. Karl Van Hemel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Van Hemel might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quentin De Keyser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Van Hemel ran back to his position shaking his head. When Karl Van Hemel came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Team invaSion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Van Hemel couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Van Dock in the 27th minute of play forced Team invaSion's goalkeeper Olivier Hoeybroeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernst Van Dock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Olivier Hoeybroeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav De Meulder's late challenge caught a GoeBezig Vilvoorde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav De Meulder helped the player get up and apologised. Gustav De Meulder hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Florian Humblets got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 49 minutes into the match, Sergio Vissenaeken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olivier Hoeybroeck. Team invaSion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Vissenaeken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudi Schepmans made a kick off. Olivier Hoeybroeck made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Florian Humblets sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeff Brabant during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Team invaSion got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Brabant. In the 60th match minute, Team invaSion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvan Van der Veken to maneuver through the defense. Basiel Van Deyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Team invaSion's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Vissenaeken came free, but Olivier Hoeybroeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st match minute, GoeBezig Vilvoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ewout Dobbeleir to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Olivier Hoeybroeck threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sergio Vissenaeken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Vissenaeken in the 83rd minute of play forced Team invaSion's goalkeeper Olivier Hoeybroeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Humblets got free with Olivier Hoeybroeck in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rudi Schepmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Team invaSion's Olivier Hoeybroeck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Team invaSion from getting a goal against them. After 99 played minutes Team invaSion got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Streels. Team invaSion's Olivier Hoeybroeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Vissenaeken in the 100th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GoeBezig Vilvoorde walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
