Sergio Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Greg De Wulf managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an all-out effort, GoeBezig Vilvoorde's Dylan van der Eycken threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sergio Vissenaeken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Sergio Vissenaeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dylan van der Eycken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Vissenaeken's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg De Wulf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Vissenaeken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan van der Eycken having to interfere. Dylan van der Eycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Vissenaeken in the 81st minute of the match. Julius Grauwen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Quentin De Keyser when he managed to save the team from getting behind. There was no doubt that GoeBezig Vilvoorde were the better team. GoeBezig Vilvoorde's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
