In the 23rd minute of the match Dreas Van Schoorisse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Van Kestbeek skillfully saved the ball. In the 26th minute Mathieu-Maxim Van Cleijnenbreughel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Vanhove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Gunter Beets made the kick off in the second half. Steve Van Kestbeek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitry Wuets in the 54th minute of the match. SV Zulte Waregem's Sylven Iven got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to RSC Slotendries getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Emile Tombuer hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Mathieu-Maxim Van Cleijnenbreughel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lukas Vanhove. Steve Van Kestbeek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylven Iven in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Martijn Van Haechten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Zulte Waregem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSC Slotendries the free kick. After a rather tough play, SV Zulte Waregem's Martijn Van Haechten got a free kick in the 69th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when RSC Slotendries's Gunter Beets in the 71st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lukas Vanhove was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SV Zulte Waregem through an amazing save. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Zulte Waregem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yanick Lefevre was slow to take the kick. During this time RSC Slotendries's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Yanick Lefevre almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SV Zulte Waregem's Lukas Vanhove did a great save. In the 78th minute, Sylven Iven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Sylven Iven suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Yanick Lefevre fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSC Slotendries's protests and gave Yanick Lefevre a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in RSC Slotendries fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for SV Zulte Waregem. Dreas Van Schoorisse stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Steve Van Kestbeek. 2-1. Gustaaf Hofnagels kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, SV Zulte Waregem's goalkeeper Lukas Vanhove had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathieu-Maxim Van Cleijnenbreughel.
