The supporters of SC Brussels booed when KVC Berchem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrie Coppens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, one of SC Brussels:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Brussels. Tuur Hally shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Frank Valckx charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Valckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Brussels getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Frank Valckx hit a great ball. SC Brussels's Jannis Ivens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save SC Brussels from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Van der Roost got free with Jannis Ivens in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, SC Brussels's goal looked a bit too open when Emile Isemborgh came free, but Jannis Ivens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Frank Valckx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannes Delamenin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, SC Brussels's goalkeeper Jannis Ivens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Will Wyfliets. In the 41st minute of the match, Matias Van der Roost got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jannis Ivens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. SC Brussels's Jannis Ivens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Brussels from getting a goal against them. Tuur Hally fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannis Ivens having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tuur Hally to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, SC Brussels's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Van der Roost came free, but Jannis Ivens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Qwinten Van Meel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Brussels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jannes Delamenin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Valckx in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Frank Valckx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jannes Delamenin. Frank Valckx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KVC Berchem! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for SC Brussels. Qwinten Van Meel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jannes Delamenin. 0-4. Jannes Delamenin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Valckx in the 92nd minute of play. Jannis Ivens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Isemborgh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaspar De Bougne kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The KVC Berchem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Brussels's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Brussels.
