The supporters of Maccabi Tilly-Aviv booed when Wellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristof Nijs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guy Henrix came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sylvan Goethuys could save by the left post. After having played for 9 minutes, Pierre Justus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre Justus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Wellen got a freekick which was hit by Jef Wollans. After a defensive mix-up in Wellen's zone, Pierre Justus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvan Goethuys came out of the goal and Pierre Justus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Maccabi Tilly-Aviv getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Pierre Justus hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Pierre Justus fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Sylvan Goethuys. 30 minutes into the game, Pierre Justus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sylvan Goethuys. Pierre Justus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Wellen getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kristof Nijs hit a great ball. A hard shot by Tristan Roockeloes from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Sylvan Goethuys's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Jeoffrey Van den Berge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guy Henrix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sylvan Goethuys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Kristof Nijs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellen and the Maccabi Tilly-Aviv players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Wellen got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Nijs. If Guy Henrix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jeoffrey Van den Berge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diedrik Vandamme having to interfere. If Guy Henrix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Robben Duchateau got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guy Henrix in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylvan Goethuys saved Wellen from getting behind. With a little luck, Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's Diedrik Vandamme got control of the ball when Robben Duchateau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Floris Van der Veeren's late challenge caught a Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Floris Van der Veeren helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Maccabi Tilly-Aviv a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tristan Roockeloes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wellen's Sylvan Goethuys. 2-0. After 69 played minutes Maccabi Tilly-Aviv got a freekick which was hit by Lander Kockaerts. 72 minutes into the match, Wellen's Robben Duchateau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diedrik Vandamme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Henrix in the 78th minute of play forced Wellen's goalkeeper Sylvan Goethuys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylvan Goethuys came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's Guy Henrix. But to his dismay, Guy Henrix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Robben Duchateau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diedrik Vandamme having to interfere. Natan Vervoort hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Guy Henrix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jeoffrey Van den Berge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diedrik Vandamme was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
