Denis Ingelborgh charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Ingelborgh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes KVS branst got a freekick which was hit by Denis Ingelborgh. In the 7th minute of the match, Henri De Keuster tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ignace De Wortelaer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Henri De Keuster might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignace De Wortelaer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henri De Keuster ran back to his position shaking his head. KVS branst's Ignace De Wortelaer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save KVS branst from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Club Chaumont-Gistoux booed when KVS branst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrie Louckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henri De Keuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignace De Wortelaer having to interfere. Hugo Billen might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francis Ruelens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Billen ran back to his position shaking his head. Henri De Keuster received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ignace De Wortelaer came out and tried to block the shot, but Henri De Keuster slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. Hugo Billen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hugo Billen made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Billen in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francis Ruelens saved Club Chaumont-Gistoux from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Club Chaumont-Gistoux's Joos Tombuer got a free kick in the 58th minute. Pieter-Maarten Lissens, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 60th minute Hugo Billen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Ruelens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mathias Van Achtens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francis Ruelens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Van Achtens in the 63rd minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Hugo Billen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KVS branst's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Billen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Mathias Van Achtens got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 67 played minutes Club Chaumont-Gistoux got a freekick which was hit by Wesley de Pelsmacker. Francis Ruelens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Billen in the 69th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Club Chaumont-Gistoux got a freekick which was hit by Joos Tombuer. After 71 played minutes Club Chaumont-Gistoux got a freekick which was hit by Joos Tombuer. In the 72nd minute of the match Pieter-Maarten Lissens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francis Ruelens skillfully saved the ball. Joos Tombuer hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedrik De Baere during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cedrik De Baere kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Francis Ruelens acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pieter-Maarten Lissens. 82 minutes into the match, Club Chaumont-Gistoux's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Billen came free, but Francis Ruelens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hugo Billen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
