Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) KFC Voshoek's Brent-Jan Nys started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan Everaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent-Jan Nys in the 4th minute of the match. If Brent-Jan Nys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Marten Van den Panhuijsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Voshoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Pittem the free kick. The supporters of KSV Pittem booed when KFC Voshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marten Van den Panhuijsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Brent-Jan Nys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, KSV Pittem's goalkeeper Jan Everaerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bart de Koninck. Antoine Debecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Marten Van den Panhuijsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Jan Everaerts managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when KFC Voshoek's Bart de Koninck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brent-Jan Nys in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Everaerts saved KSV Pittem from getting behind. After having played for 36 minutes, Douglas Huysmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Voshoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Huysmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, KSV Pittem's Jan Everaerts got control of the ball when Bart de Koninck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan Everaerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart de Koninck in the 44th minute. KFC Voshoek's Brent-Jan Nys got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Jan Everaerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bart de Koninck's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Bart de Koninck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Everaerts having to interfere. Sem Vandendriessche didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. 74 minutes into the game, Peter Leemans recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sem Vandendriessche. Peter Leemans showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 80thth minute of the game Bart de Koninck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Pittem's Jan Everaerts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bart de Koninck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Brent-Jan Nys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Everaerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jan Everaerts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bart de Koninck went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. KSV Pittem succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though KFC Voshoek had controlled the match.
