Lode De Keijsere was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. With his leg Adolf Van Haerschot managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Dooren's George Michiels fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dooren's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
