Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joonatan Vandekerkhove took the kick off in the first half of the match. Erik Van de Weijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Klaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrik Gheysen having to interfere. Andrew Klaes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. 19 minutes into the match, Vinkem's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Beetens came free, but Cedrik Gheysen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Diederik Hosselaer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinkem and the Neerpede players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Vinkem got a freekick which was hit by Diederik Hosselaer. In the 23rd minute of the match Jean Van Laer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cedrik Gheysen skillfully saved the ball. Diederik Hosselaer was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Vinkem's Diederik Hosselaer got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Joonatan Vandekerkhove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vinkem getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Joonatan Vandekerkhove hit a great ball. Jose Rokeloos shot from long distance in the 29th minute, but Cedrik Gheysen was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Van de Weijer in the 31st minute of play forced Neerpede's goalkeeper Greg Eijkens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greg Eijkens came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vinkem's Erik Van de Weijer. But to his dismay, Erik Van de Weijer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrew Klaes in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cedrik Gheysen saved Vinkem from getting behind. After having played for 53 minutes, Erik Van de Weijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinkem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Van de Weijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waud Nelleboedske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Eijkens having to interfere. Erik Van de Weijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Greg Eijkens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Neerpede booed when Vinkem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Elzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Jullian Huijghens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinkem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neerpede the free kick. Jullian Huijghens kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Cedrik Gheysen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Klaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Neerpede's Dante Beetens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cedrik Gheysen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Vinkem's Erik Van de Weijer got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jullian Huijghens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Erik Van de Weijer made a precise shot to the right of Greg Eijkens. Neerpede's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 88th minute, Jullian Huijghens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vinkem's zone, Dante Beetens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedrik Gheysen came out of the goal and Dante Beetens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dante Beetens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinkem were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
