Waut Wiggers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armand Vorster came out and tried to block the shot, but Waut Wiggers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waut Wiggers during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Champi fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waut Wiggers to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Waut Wiggers notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rekkem's Armand Vorster. Armand Vorster was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waut Wiggers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armand Vorster having to make a save. Waut Wiggers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Armand Vorster made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Maxim-Alexander Ghesels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armand Vorster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Roulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Benny Van den Wyngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Fabien Devaux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Thielens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Van den Wyngaert in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacq Schautens during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mathijs Roulin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Armand Vorster made a huge save. Ernst Haemers kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Champi fc's Arnout Worteleers seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnout Worteleers the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Champi fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnout Worteleers had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Champi fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rekkem:s goal. The referee gave Rekkem a penalty, 51 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luk Wuijts, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Champi fc's Andreas Thielens. 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benny Van den Wyngaert made a kick off. Waut Wiggers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armand Vorster having to interfere. Levi Smets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Thielens having to interfere. Andreas Thielens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Van den Wyngaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Bertrand De Middeleer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Levi Smets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Andreas Thielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rekkem's supporters rose to their feet, but Levi Smets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Thielens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Rekkem's Reemy Konings got a free kick in the 98th minute. Champi fc were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rekkem for a fine match.
