Renzo Van Hoyvelt kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charly De Wever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roni Anteunis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Correyns having to interfere. In the 10th minute Manuel Dirckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manuel Dirckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charly De Wever in the 23rd minute of play. Victor Render could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jordi Correyns made a huge save. The supporters of KAA Hombeek booed when AFC Hompre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibo De Messemaecker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Van Hoeijveldt charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Van Hoeijveldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Hombeek's zone, Antoine Van Leempten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs came out of the goal and Antoine Van Leempten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Hompre's Charly De Wever. But to his dismay, Charly De Wever quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The wind increased when Roni Anteunis made the kick off in the second half. If Victor Render had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th match minute, AFC Hompre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christof Van Dessel to maneuver through the defense. Victor Render struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jordi Correyns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Hombeek. The supporters of KAA Hombeek booed when AFC Hompre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christof Van Dessel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jordi Correyns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roni Anteunis's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. A collision led to AFC Hompre getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Charles-Louis Van der Voert hit a great ball. Roni Anteunis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Correyns having to interfere. Victor Render sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Victor Render shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordi Correyns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KAA Hombeek's Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charly De Wever in the 85th minute of play. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Manuel Dirckx sent off a good shot on target. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Manuel Dirckx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manuel Dirckx really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Manuel Dirckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The KAA Hombeek supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AFC Hompre's performance. The match ended with a win for AFC Hompre.
