Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benjamin De Hertoge kicked off to start the match. Bergerhout's Bernard Mampaerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Bergerhout from getting a goal against them. Gregory De Clercq, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. If Jean-Louis Valckeners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jasper Beckers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin De Hertoge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, Wolvendaal's Jean-Louis Valckeners made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernard Mampaerts was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernard Mampaerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean-Louis Valckeners in the 28th minute. Dimitri De Messemaeckre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thierry Goossens's late challenge caught a Wolvendaal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thierry Goossens helped the player get up and apologised. Thierry Goossens kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen De Spiegeleire in the 36th minute of play forced Bergerhout's goalkeeper Bernard Mampaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Louis Valckeners struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Bernard Mampaerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolvendaal. Steffen De Spiegeleire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Mampaerts having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffen De Spiegeleire to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Louis Valckeners in the 52nd minute of play forced Bergerhout's goalkeeper Bernard Mampaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Louis Valckeners's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Mampaerts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Jean-Louis Valckeners sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steffen De Spiegeleire in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernard Mampaerts saved Bergerhout from getting behind. Bernard Mampaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen De Spiegeleire in the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Jean-Louis Valckeners managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolvendaal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Louis Valckeners was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Mampaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jean-Louis Valckeners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernard Mampaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen De Spiegeleire in the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bergerhout's zone, Jean-Louis Valckeners stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Mampaerts came out of the goal and Jean-Louis Valckeners tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steffen De Spiegeleire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wolvendaal fully deserved thier win.
