Yvan Van de kauter hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Londerzeel's goal looked a bit too open when Charles-Antoine De Muijser came free, but Martial Beeckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Youri Ramps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Martial Beeckmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Londerzeel's Lars Desmet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mathias-Alexander Stocks. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. A collision led to FC Potten Breken getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Charles-Antoine De Muijser hit a great ball. Youri Ramps's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martial Beeckmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Dan De Groote managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Londerzeel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan De Groote was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes FC Potten Breken got a freekick which was hit by Oswald Van Damme. If Dan De Groote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Youri Ramps managed to get in a good position for a shot.
