After a rather tough play, KV brussel's Gerrit De Jaeger got a free kick in the 10th minute. KV brussel's Jerry Jennes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Van Eijcke in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Bram De Roost managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV brussel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bram De Roost was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 minutes, Dominic Van de kauter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the assnee and the KV brussel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dominic Van de kauter hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gerrit De Jaeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred de Wolf hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jerry Jennes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Van Eijcke's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Dominic Van de kauters short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Jerry Jennes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Dominic Van de kauter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. assnee's Johnny Van Eijcke got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, assnee's Geert Naessens got a free kick in the 41st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Johnny Van Eijcke made the kick off in the second half. Johnny Van Eijcke struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jerry Jennes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for assnee. 54 minutes into the match, KV brussel's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Van Eijcke came free, but Jerry Jennes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dominic Van de kauter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Johnny Van Eijcke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Jennes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dominic Van de kauter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Jennes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Uytebroeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Van de kauter in the 64th minute of play forced KV brussel's goalkeeper Jerry Jennes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerrit De Jaeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Stephan De Maerschalck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KV brussel's Patrik Sevenans got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Steff Van Caels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV brussel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave assnee the free kick. A collision led to KV brussel getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Steff Van Caels hit a great ball. assnee's Johnny Van Eijcke got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, KV brussel failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
