The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederick Delamenin helped the player get up and apologised. Staf Schoenmaekers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Anton van Haecht when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 35 minutes, Jasper Aelgoet made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mannen weten waarom's Anton van Haecht tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommas Krabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Susters in the 40th minute of the match. FC Yalaz's Staf Schoenmaekers got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommas Krabbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieterjan Caspers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Staf Schoenmaekers to strike the kick off in the second half. If Patrick Susters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommas Krabbe was a little too slow when Pieterjan Caspers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-2. Staf Schoenmaekers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Yalaz's Stefan Goovaers got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jasper Aelgoet scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton van Haecht, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stefan Goovaers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton van Haecht read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Sebbe Vanden Bossche hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Mannen weten waarom's goal looked a bit too open when Staf Schoenmaekers came free, but Anton van Haecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Staf Schoenmaekers came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FC Yalaz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Staf Schoenmaekers couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Staf Schoenmaekers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton van Haecht. Mannen weten waarom's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Staf Schoenmaekers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. FC Yalaz were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mannen weten waarom for a fine match.
