Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Guillaume Van Leempoel started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ief Rockeloos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Van Leempoel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Ief Rockeloos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westmalle's supporters rose to their feet, but Ief Rockeloos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Brothers United's Koen Verdeyen suffered a concussion after 11 minutes and had to leave the field. 11 minutes into the game, one of Westmalle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ief Rockeloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Brothers United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leon Van De Beeck hit a great ball. Guillaume Van Leempoel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ief Rockeloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, FC Brothers United's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Van Leempoel came free, but Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes of play FC Brothers United's Leon Van De Beeck was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leon Van De Beeck kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillaume Van Leempoel's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Van Leempoel in the 40th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Brothers United's Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser got control of the ball when Ief Rockeloos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mathieu Colpaert charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathieu Colpaert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mathieu Colpaert hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Westmalle's Ief Rockeloos got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mathieu Colpaert was the one to do the kick off. Guillaume Van Leempoel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, FC Brothers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertan Van Halssbeeck to maneuver through the defense. If Guillaume Van Leempoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ief Rockeloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillaume Van Leempoel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser having to interfere. If Guillaume Van Leempoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Ief Rockeloos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to FC Brothers United getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Mathieu Colpaert hit a great ball. Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Van Leempoel in the 76th minute of play. FC Brothers United's Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Van Leempoel in the 78th minute of play. Ief Rockeloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Westmalle's Ief Rockeloos in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Brothers United's goalie prevented a goal. When Guillaume Van Leempoel came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Westmalle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Van Leempoel couldn't finish the play. Guillaume Van Leempoel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Olivier De Ceijser having to interfere. There was no doubt that Westmalle were the better team. Westmalle's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
